Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena will host what is a rematch of a first-round playoff series from last year that saw Las Vegas advance in two games. Expectations are once again high for the Aces, who are built around 2024 league MVP A’ja Wilson. Guards Chelsea Gray, Jewell Loyd, and Jackie Young are a matchup problem for any team, but Las Vegas hasn’t seen much scoring from its forwards to open the 2025 season.
The Storm, meanwhile, have gotten good play out of forwards Nneka Ogwumike and Gabby Williams, while guard Skylar Diggins has started the season on fire. The tough part for Seattle might be competing inside against Wilson, who scored 45 points in last year’s postseason series.
