The 2025 NBA Draft is just days away. The event will take place over two days, with the first round set for Wednesday, June 25. The Boston Celtics will head into the draft armed with the 28th and 32nd picks, giving Brad Stevens two bites of the apple within the same section of the board.
Stevens will have a range of draft targets available to him. A lot will depend on whether he’s drafting players he believes can fight for a rotation spot, or is looking at longer-term projects who can develop with the Maine Celtics in the G League. Each route will come with its own set of prospects.
Maxime Raynaud falls into the “potentially ready now” group. The 7-foot forward out of Stanford is a four-year collegiate player. He played in 35 games this past season, averaging 20.2 points, 10.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists while shooting 34.7% from deep and 46.7% from two-point range. If you’re unfamiliar with Raynaud’s game, NBC Sports Boston recently posted a highlight reel of his best moments from this past season to their YouTube channel.
