The Houston Texans are going camping this summer.
According to the team’s official training camp release date, the Texans will conduct four practices in Sulphur Springs, W.Va., to host drills at The Greenbrier. Their trip will mark the third time that training camp practices have been hosted at The Greenbrier, following trips in 2017 and 2018.
Training camp officially begins July 23 and includes seven dates for fans to be in attendance. Those dates open to fans are July 26, July 28-30, Aug. 1-2 and Aug. 14.
All practices open to fans are free and will begin at 9 a.m., similar to the same start time as minicamp and OTAs earlier this month.
Following their West Virginia trip, the Texans will play a preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings before returning to Houston. Once back at NRG Stadium, Houston will have a joint practice with the Carolina Panthers on Aug. 14 ahead of its Aug. 16 preseason showdown.
The Texans also will have a joint practice with the Lions ahead of their final preseason game on Aug. 21 in Detroit.
The Texans are also looking to clinch their third straight AFC South title under DeMeco Ryans and C.J. Stroud following a slew of changes this offseason, including trading five-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil and hiring Nick Caley to replace Bobby Slowik as offensive coordinator.
