TVS leads June e2W sales as India’s electric two-wheeler market grows 5%

India’s electric two-wheeler (e2W) market posted a 5% month-on-month growth in June, with registrations reaching 93,145 units, up from 88,426 units in May, according to Vahan data.

Pure electric vehicle two-wheeler (e2W) registrations increased by 5 per cent in June to 93,145 units, compared to 88,426 in May, according to data from the Vahan portal.

All the major players reported positive growth in June over May.

TVS Motor Company took the top spot and maintained its lead over Bajaj Auto, as per data collated at 6 am on Tuesday.

The Chennai-based TVS Motor reported a 0.58 per cent growth in June to 23,631 units, compared to 23,494 units in May.

Bajaj was second with a 5 per cent growth to 22,939 units in June as against 21,849 units in May.

Ather Energy reported a 15 per cent growth in June, with 10,404 units sold, compared to 9,055 units in May, according to the data.

Ola Electric saw a 6 per cent growth, with 18,338 units sold in June, compared to 17,341 units in May.

Other major players, such as Hero Motocorp, reported a 7 per cent growth, and Greaves Electric reported a 3 per cent growth, the data shows.
