Ajay Devgn moots film studio in Telangana; Kapil Dev backs state’s sports initiatives

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn has evinced interest in establishing a ‘world-class’ film studio in Telangana. The actor met Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy in New Delhi on Monday and discussed his plans to set up the studio with infrastructure with animation, VFX and AI-powered equipment.

He also expressed willingness to set up a skill development institute to train professionals across various domains of the film industry, a Chief Minister’s Office statement said.

Seeking the Chief Minister’s support in establishing the studio in the state, he said it would go a long way in strengthening the film ecosystem.

Meanwhile, former India cricket team captain Kapil Dev extended his support to the state’s plan to set up Young India Sports University. 

The Chief Minister briefed the cricketing legend about the efforts being taken to promote sports infrastructure and talent development across the state.

“Kapil Dev expressed his interest in supporting the state’s plan to promote sports ecosystem,” the statement said.
