Cancel conditional pattas for agricultural lands in Anthiyur in Erode district: Panneerselvam

AIADMK Workers Rights Retrieval Committee founder O. Panneerselvam on Friday criticised the DMK government over the reported issuance of conditional pattas for agricultural lands in Anthiyur taluk in Erode district.

In a statement, he said farmers were forced to stage a protest as agricultural lands along the forest area near Anthiyur, had been issued conditional pattas with their guideline value as zero. He urged Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to take immediate steps to cancel the conditional pattas issued to agricultural lands and to remove their guideline value.

In another statement, Mr. Panneerselvam criticised the DMK government over its reported attempt to outsource certain conservancy operations in the Greater Chennai Corporation. He urged the State government to regularise contractual conservancy workers.
