Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Sunday accused the Congress and BRS of joining hands to ensure the victory of the AIMIM in the ensuing Hyderabad local body MLC elections.

“Both the parties are competing with each other for the victory of the AIMIM,” he said while addressing the media in Karimnagar.

Earlier in the day, he addressed a meeting of the party workers held in connection with the 45th Foundation Day of the BJP.

Mr. Sanjay lashed out at the Congress accusing it of being hand in glove with the BRS to defeat the BJP in a clandestine manner. This has been vindicated with both the parties attending the recent ‘Delimitation meeting’ held in Chennai together and voting against the Waqf (Amendment) Bill in Rajya Sabha, he charged.

The BJP is a patriotic and ideology-based party and party candidate N. Goutham Rao will win the ensuing Hyderabad local body MLC polls, he said.

Mr. Sanjay found fault with the AICC in-charge for Telangana Meenakshi Natarajan for, what he termed, reviewing with the committee of Ministers on the Kancha Gachibowli land issue. “How can a Congress leader hold a review meeting in the Secretariat?” he asked.

He accused the ruling Congress of running the State government from Gandhi Bhavan, reducing Chief Minister A. Revanth to a mere ‘rubber stamp.’
