The trade rumors around the 2025 NFL Draft never end!
Despite Steelers GM Omar Khan’s comments about wanting to keep both George Pickens and DK Metcalf for the 2025 season, one insider has claimed the opposite is taking place behind the scenes.
According to insider Jordan Schultz most recent entry on Fox Sports’ NFL Confidential, Pickens’ future in the Steel City could soon come to an end:
“George Pickens is one intriguing trade name to watch. Pittsburgh has taken and made calls on the talented WR, who’s now extension-eligible. After paying Metcalf, league sources are skeptical the Steelers will pay two receivers.
‘It’s just not in their DNA to spend that much on two wideouts,’ an AFC GM said. ‘Pickens is more available than people think. Green Bay’s been serious, and they’re not the only ones.'”
Schultz later updated the situation on social media, stating that while the Steelers weren’t “actively shopping” Pickens, trade talks have taken place.
Were Khan’s comments on keeping Pickens another pre-draft deception? And if so, will the Steelers wide receiver find a new home at the 2025 NFL Draft?
