The All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) leaders, on Sunday, alleged serious irregularities by the in-charge sub-registrar at the Sub-Registrar Office in Rayachoti Municipality of Annamayya district. He urged the district administration to initiate an inquiry into them and make the findings public.
AITUC district general secretary D. Sambashiva alleged that properties under the jurisdiction of YSR Kadapa district were being registered at the Rayachoti sub-registrar’s office in Annamayya district instead, and bribes were being collected for this. Mr. Sambashiva also claimed that there were rampant irregularities concerning assigned lands (DKT lands).
He urged the district administration to note that the irregularities at the office included attempts to register even litigation lands. “We demand departmental action against the wrongdoers, for which the government should appoint a full-fledged sub-registrar in Rayachaoti,” he said.
