The Indiana Fever were without superstar guard Caitlin Clark yet again on Thursday night as she heals from a groin injury.
However, she was up to her usual antics of complaining about the WNBA referees and the game at large from the bench during the home stand against the Los Angeles Sparks.
During the game’s second quarter, Clark’s feisty bench antics caused Sparks guard Kelsey Plum to (perhaps jokingly) to motion to the refs to give Clark a technical foul.
For as fiery a competitor as Clark is, getting a tech from the bench when she’s not even playing would be a new one for the Fever guard. The refs held the whistle in this instance.
Clark advocating for her team is to be expected, and it was fun to see Plum react. Even Fever fans might find it a bit humorous if Clark got a tech in a game she wasn’t even playing in.
