Ballari: Six people were killed in two separate road accidents in Ballari district on Monday.
In the first incident, five members of a family, including two children, died in a head-on collision between a car and a truck near Jaysingpur village in Sandur Taluk.
The deceased have been identified as Nandish (28), his wife Jayalakshmi (25), Nandish’s sister Asha (32), and Asha’s children Bindushri (9 months) and Sai Satwik (5). A three-year-old girl sustained serious injuries and has been admitted to BMCRC, Ballari. A case has been registered at the Sandur Police Station.
In the second incident, a car rammed into a bridge on National Highway 150(A) near Tekkalakote, resulting in the death of Shashidhar (48), a resident of Maddur taluk in Mandya district. Two others were injured and have been shifted to BMCRC for treatment. A case has been registered at the Tekkalakote Police Station.
