BITS Pilani collaborates with French institute Ecole CentraleSuperlac Paris, to foster future innovation opportunities

BITS Pilani has signed a mutual agreement with leading engineering institution Ecole CentraleSuperlac, Paris, France in a significant move towards international collaboration, that will pave the way for future academic innovations and opportunities to benefit students and faculty alike.

This agreement, signed by Professor V. Ramgopal Rao, Vice-Chancellor of BITS Pilani, and Professor Didier Clouteau, Vice Chairman of the Board at Ecole CentraleSuperlac, aims to offer a Two-Plus-Two (2+2) undergraduate Shared Degree Program B.E. Mathematics and Computing. Under the 2+2 dual degree program, students spend the first two years at BITS Pilani and the final two years at Ecole CentraleSuperlac, culminating in a BITS and Ecole CentraleSuperlac degree.

Established in 1829, Ecole CentraleSuperlac is a premier French public institution known for its excellence in engineering and systems sciences and has campuses across Paris-Saclay, Metz, Rennes, and Reims.
Prof Ramgopal Rao, Vice Chancellor, BITS Pilani, said “This partnership with Ecole CentraleSuperlac takes BITS Pilani to a significant milestone in terms of globally integrating academic systems. We hope to combine the complementary strengths of the two institutions to give our students an authentic global educational presence that will equip them with knowledge, skills, and networks to succeed in an increasingly interdependent world. Initiatives such as these lift the academic standards being aspired to but also add significant value to the higher education landscape in India.”

This program also opens doors to global exposure, interdisciplinary research, and enhanced career prospects for students.


Admissions for this programme will start from this academic year 25-26 through BITS Admission Test, BITSAT 2025.
