BJP cadre should be protected from the DMK, says Nainar Nagendran

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) is keeping a tab of everyone to see who (in the BJP) is talking to whom and what they are talking, claimed the State president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Nainar Nagendran.

Addressing the BJP cadre at a meeting organised in Coimbatore on Saturday, he said his main task was to protect the BJP cadre from the DMK. There was no need for anyone to post messages on social media on alliances or the number of seats for BJP in the Assembly elections. Union Home Minister Amit Shah had said that he would visit Tamil Nadu often.

Phones were tapped now and the DMK was following what the BJP leaders were talking and to whom, he alleged. The BJP cadre should focus on booth committees and work with the AIADMK cadre (for the Assembly elections).

Mr. Nainar Nagendran said the BJP should have more number of BJP MLAs in the Assembly than the AIADMK. “It should be more than that of two leaves,” he said.
