The Kansas City Chiefs are off to a red-hot start against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1 of the 2025 preseason.
After an early touchdown pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes to wide receiver Jason Brownlee put Kansas City up by seven points, the Cardinals managed to bounce back with a much-needed field goal.
Mahomes’ night ended after his connection with Brownlee, but veteran signal-caller Gardner Minshew wasted no time picking up where the two-time MVP left off, quickly taking the Chiefs’ offense down the field for a touchdown drive.
Check out this video of Minshew’s outstanding touchdown scramble that gave Kansas City a two-score lead, which was posted to Twitter by the Chiefs’ official account:
Though fans in Kansas City will certainly hope that they won’t have to see Minshew in action during the regular season, they can rest easy knowing that the Chiefs have such a capable backup behind Mahomes on their depth chart.
