Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will launch AP police’s national-level AI Hackathon – AI4AndhraPolice –a landmark initiative aimed at fostering innovation and identifying AI-driven solutions that can significantly enhance policing and public service delivery.
AP Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta released a poster in this regard on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the DGP said the hackathon is in alignment with the vision of the AP CM to adopt cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) in governance.
Harish Kumar Gupta said the hackathon will serve as a strategic platform for demonstrating how AI can address real-world challenges in law enforcement and public administration. The hackathon will be held at RVR & JC College of Engineering, Guntur, which will be the Hosting Partner.
The DGP said AP police department has partnered with 4SightAI as its Knowledge Partner, which is responsible for the overall conceptualisation, planning and execution of the hackathon. He explained that all problem statements in the hackathon will be based on real policing cases, ensuring that the solutions developed are practical and impactful.
Harish Kumar Gupta said the AP police department has invited IT companies, start-ups and academic institutions from India and overseas to participate in the hackathon and showcase their AI capabilities.
There is no entry fee for the hackathon. In addition, all boarding and lodging will be provided free of cost to selected participants, the DGP added.
