Last year, around this time, there was a bunch of hullabaloo because there hadn’t been a college football video game to be released in just over a decade, thus EA Sports College Football 25 was eagerly anticipated. That game released with two versions — each featured a Wolverine in now-former running back Donovan Edwards, who had big moments against Ohio State, Penn State, and in the national championship game, in his career.

Now the redux is set to arrive soon, and that means something of a countdown to its release. And on Tuesday, a big teaser made its way onto the internet.

New cover revealed, featuring two Michigan men

As noted, last year, Edwards graced the cover. On the regular edition, he was front and center, lifting his finger to the sky, as he does to praise God en route to scoring a touchdown. On the deluxe edition, Edwards was joined by eventual Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter as well as Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers.

As it turns out, the new edition of the game will also feature a Wolverine.

After the odd reveal that took place over the winter of the photoshoot held at the Rose Bowl, the deluxe edition cover looks to be a little more aesthetically pleasing. And it’s made all the more so as there are two Michigan players on the cover — one current and one former. We knew about Bryce Underwood making the cover, but the new surprise is that former quarterback Denard Robinson is also on the new deluxe edition.

History of Michigan players on the cover

Famously, Robinson was on the final cover of the older version, NCAA Football 14, which was released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Former cornerback Charles Woodson was on the cover of NCAA Football 99, while former wide receiver Desmond Howard was on the cover of NCAA Football 06.

The regular cover of the game this year is Ohio State and Alabama wide receivers Jeremiah Smith and Ryan Williams.
