Gunmen open fire on govt office in Pakistan’s Mastung; teenager dead, 8 injured

An unidentified armed men attacked government offices and banks in Pakistan’s Mastung on July 01. A 16-year-old boy was killed and eight others were injured in the attack, as per official reports. According to police, the attackers ransacked official records and set them ablaze. Heavy exchange fire with the assailants was reported during the confrontation. The law and order situation in Balochistan has severely deteriorated over the past few weeks as an increase has been noticed in threats and attacks on govt officials. This comes after the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on November 28, 2022 ended its ceasefire agreement with Pakistan.
