The Houston Rockets like what they’ve seen from head coach Ime Udoka. Following the team’s excellent 2024-25 season, the Rockets reportedly signed Udoka to a long-term extension that makes him one of the highest-paid coaches in the NBA, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Details regarding the length and cost of the extension were not provided.
The team has experienced plenty of success under Udoka. After being hired in 2023, Udoka helped the team improve by 19 wins in his first season as head coach. The Rockets showed even more growth during the 2024-25 NBA season, winning 52 games and securing the second seed in the Western Conference.
