Vijayawada: The Jana Sena on Wednesday strongly condemned the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, in which 26 people were brutally killed. Party chief and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan announced a three-day mourning across the state and directed that party flags be flown at half-mast.
Candlelight vigils will be held every evening during the mourning period, the party said in a statement.
Pawan Kalyan stated, “My heart goes out to the bereaved families. In this dark hour, we remain resolute; Bharat’s unity cannot be broken by terror. Together, we will overcome. Together, we will heal.”
Calling the attack inhuman and intolerable, he added, “Terrorism has no place in a civil society. We stand united and resolved in grief.”
On Friday, human chains will be formed across the state to protest against terrorism, express solidarity with the victims, and reaffirm Jana Sena’s commitment to peace, the statement added.
