Former New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman was announced as the 37th member of the Patriots Hall of Fame on Monday.

The announcement was made on the team’s social media account. Guard Logan Mankins and kicker Adam Vinatieri were the other candidates who didn’t make the cut this year.

Edelman played for the Patriots from 2009 to 2020 and established himself as one of the most dependable receivers in franchise history. He recorded 620 receptions for 6,822 yards and 36 touchdowns during his time in New England. His legendary resume also includes three Super Bowl titles and the Super Bowl LIII MVP.

He is also third all-time in receptions and receiving yards in the playoffs with 118 receptions for 1,442 yards in 19 playoff game appearances.

Edelman will now forever be immortalized in Patriots history.

New England found some hidden gems during the Bill Belichick era, and Edelman was certainly one of them. He was one of Tom Brady’s favorite targets and a dependable playmaker who always stepped up his game when it mattered most.
