TPCC president Mahesh Goud described BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao as the first and the last villain of Telangana – blaming him for all the ills plaguing the State now.

Countering Mr. Rao’s attack on the Congress at a public meeting, Mr. Goud alleged that the absence of women in the meeting showcased how they could not convince a massive section of people with fake propaganda. In a sarcastic tone, he said there were more liquor bottles in the meeting than people.

He claimed that people will never forgive Mr. Rao’s family for ‘looting’ Telangana.

“Where did the hundreds of crores that the family enjoys now come from,” Mr. Goud asked recalling their financial status before the formation of Telangana.

Accusing the BRS of aligning with the BJP, Mr Goud said Mr. Rao’s reference to the BJP was just two minutes, while the remaining time was targeted towards the Congress, indicating their alliance. He asked why Mr Rao did not refer to the BC caste survey, SC categorisation or the Wakf Act.

He reminded that without Sonia Gandhi, Mr. Rao could never have become the Chief Minister of Telangana – and belittling her showed how low the BRS can stoop down to.
