The Lions have added another veteran to the secondary, per a report from Mike Garafolo. Detroit has agreed to terms with cornerback Rock Ya-Sin.

Terms of the deal are not disclosed. Ya’Sin, 28, played 13 games in a reserve role for the San Francisco 49ers last season.

The Lions will be Ya-Sin’s fifth team in as many seasons, following stints with the 49ers, Raiders, Ravens and the Colts, who initially selected him in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. After being a primary starter for three years in Indianapolis and his one year with Las Vegas, Ya-Sin has been more of a special teams player for the last two years.

A 6-foot, 195-pounder from Temple, Ya-Sin has played outside cornerback almost exclusively. In 79 career games (39 starts), Ya-Sin has logged 199 tackles, two INTs and 31 passes defended. He’s also racked up 28 penalties.

Ya-Sin figures to mix in as a potential roster replacement for Emmanuel Moseley and Kindle Vildor.
