Welcome to NBA draft 2025 results and picks for the first round Wednesday, June 25, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, home of the Nets. The draft is split over two nights for the second consecutive year.
There will be 30 picks in Round 1, with proceedings set to begin at 8 p.m. (ESPN, ABC). Each time on the clock has five minutes to make a pick or trade.
Round 2, with picks Nos. 31-59, begins Thursday, June 26, at 8 p.m. (ESPN). Then, NBA free agency begins Monday, June 30, at 6 p.m.
This is a life-changing event for players, with each slated to make more than $14 million over their four-year rookie contracts (if each of the final two option years get picked up). Cooper Flagg, the projected No. 1 pick, is set to earn $13.8 million in Year 1 of a projected four-year, $62.7 million contract.
The draft board is already a wild one: Only one team, the Boston Celtics at No. 28, retains their original pick outside the top 12 in the first round — the other 17 picks from Nos. 13-30 have been traded to another team. The Detroit Pistons are one of those teams without a pick, with the Minnesota Timberwolves owning it at No. 17 overall.
Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets, San Antonio Spurs, Oklahoma City Thunder, Utah Jazz, Washington Wizards and New Orleans Pelicans each enter with multiple picks in the first round.
Top NBA draft prospects for 2025 include Flagg (Duke), Dylan Harper (Rutgers), Ace Bailey (Rutgers), V.J. Edgecombe (Baylor), Tre Johnson (Texas), Kon Knueppel (Duke) and Jeremiah Fears (Oklahoma).
The mock drafts are finished. Here is every pick from the 2025 first round as it is made live.
