Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister and actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan’s youngest son, Mark Shankar, has suffered injuries in a fire that took place at his school in Singapore.
As per a release issued by Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party, the eight-year-old suffered injuries to his hands and legs. He also developed breathing complications as he had inhaled smoke.
“Mark Shankar is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Singapore,” the release read. What caused the fire is not known so far.
Pawan Kalyan, who is currently on an official tour to the Alluri Sitarama Raju district in Andhra Pradesh, is set to cut short the visit and depart for Singapore.
“I promised the villagers in Kuridi of Araku Valley that I would visit them as per the schedule, and I am committed to completing the tour,” Kalyan stated in the release.
Sources in the Jana Sena Party said the child’s health updates would be released later in the day.
