The New York Jets are entering a transitional period. New general manager Darren Mougey and head coach Aaron Glenn are resetting the culture after inheriting a toxic environment from the previous regime. That’s led to some lukewarm predictions for their upcoming 2025 season.

The Buffalo Bills have won the AFC East division title for five consecutive campaigns. They’ve been annual Super Bowl contenders. The Miami Dolphins are on a downslide, and the New England Patriots are rebuilding with Mike Vrabel as their new head coach.

Pro Football Focus recently released their way-too-early odds for each division winner. Unsurprisingly, the Bills own the best odds at -230. The Patriots and Dolphins are tied for second-best at +550. The Jets rank dead last at +1600.

The Bills have the shortest odds of any division favorite to take home the crown, at -230,” Mason Cameron wrote.”Winners of the past five AFC East titles, Buffalo is enjoying the same success against a subpar division that New England experienced in years past.”

Cameron also acknowledged the Dolphins’ quiet rebuild.

The Dolphins are rumored to be shopping key contributors, including Jonnu Smith, Jalen Ramsey, and potentially Tyreek HillShould any of those talents be moved, Miami’s +550 odds will plummet.”

Out-of-market analysts possess no expectations for the 2025 Jets. Hopefully Coach Glenn can surprise the league by fielding a more competitive team than expected. The lack of expectations could work in the Jets’ favor.
