PHILADELPHIA − The NFL Draft is finally here, and for the Eagles, it’s about restocking positions that were hit hard during free agency while adding depth throughout the roster.
The Eagles go into the seven-round draft with eight picks − all in the first five rounds. As defending Super Bowl champions, the Eagles are drafting at the end of each of the first three rounds − at No. 32, 64, and 96.
So they’re well out of range of the intrigue at the top of the draft. Still, there should be good players available at the end of the first round. And Eagles GM Howie Roseman has been known to make several trades.
On defense, the Eagles lost four starters from last year’s roster in defensive linemen Josh Sweat and Milton Williams, cornerback Darius Slay, and safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson, who was traded.
The Eagles, with a limited amount of money to spend, filled some spots with low-cost free agents on one-year deals, like edge rushers Azeez Ojulari and Josh Uche.

But they didn’t fill all of them, especially at safety for Gardner-Johnson and defensive tackle for Williams. That’s where the draft comes in. And that is how Roseman plans to add to the Eagles’ core of stars who were instrumental to winning the Super Bowl last season.
Here, then, are all of the Eagles draft picks:
Round 1, Pick 32
Round 2, Pick 64
Round 3, Pick 96
Round 4, Pick 134 (from Detroit)
Round 5, Pick 161 (from Houston)
Round 5, Pick 164 (from Cleveland)
Round 5, Pick 165 (from Washington)
Round 5, Pick 168
