Plenty of offensive outbursts highlight the picks: Vote for the Hometeam Central Mass. Girls’ Lacrosse Player of the Week

There were plenty of great girls’ lacrosse performances last week and Tommy Cassell found six of the best of them for readers to vote on for the Hometeam girls’ lacrosse player of the week.

These picks were selected from performances reported by area coaches to the Hometeam Scoreboard.

Congratulations to Grafton’s Addie McGrath for taking the top spot in last week’s poll, getting 4,117 votes (51.7 percent) to top Bancroft’s Bella Coughlin (3,300 votes) for the honor.

Ellory Aherne, Shrewsbury 

Aherne had seven goals and an assist to boost the host Colonials to a 20-8 win over Wachusett. 

Elise Boucher, Worcester 

Boucher scored three goals, which included her 100th career point, in the Warriors’ 9-3 win over Monty Tech/Sizer before notching another hat trick in her team’s 13-10 victory over Notre Dame. 

Alexis Deschenes, Tyngsborough 

Deschenes delivered six goals in the Tigers’ 16-9 win over Bromfield. 

Katie Joslyn, AMSA 

Joslyn stopped 13 shots as the host Eagles beat Blackstone Valley Tech, 12-4. 

Emma Kokocinski, Shepherd Hill 

This sophomore scored her 100th career goal as the host Rams rolled past Auburn, 17-3. 

Ava Leahy, Notre Dame (Worcester) 

Leahy scored three goals and collected her 300th career point, but the host Rebels fell to Tantasqua, and then Leahy had five goals in her team’s loss to Worcester. 

Addie McGrath, Grafton 

McGrath mustered five goals and two assists as the Gators handed Leominster a loss before she notched another give goals and two assists (and teammate Peyton Morrison notched her 100th career point) in a 13-11 victory over Ashland. 

Brooke O’Brien, Littleton 

O’Brien pumped home seven goals for the host Tigers in a 14-4 defeat of Hudson and then notched nine goals in a 13-5 victory over Shepherd Hill. 

Kaydie O’Neil, Tantasqua 

With four goals, O’Neil netted her 200th career goal for the Warriors in a 15-8 loss to Nipmuc. 

Caroline Pinto, Nashoba 

This junior netted nine goals, including her 200th career, and added an assist for the host Wolves in a 14-7 win over Algonquin, notched a hat trick (and caused seven turnovers) in Nashoba’s 7-6 victory over Lunenburg and then scored six times in a 16-8 win over North Middlesex.
