Bhadra begins on August 8, 2025, at around 2:12 PM and ends in the early hours of August 9, at approximately 1:52 AM

Because Bhadra concludes before sunrise on August 9, the entire day of Raksha Bandhan (August 9) is free from Bhadra Kāla. Devotees can therefore tie the Rakhi during the Shubh Muhurat without worrying about inauspicious timings.

• Wake up early, take a holy bath, and wear clean traditional attire.
• Begin with prayers to Lord Ganesha, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Shiva by lighting a diya.
• Prepare festive dishes such as kheer, halwa, poori sabzi, and raita.
• Offer bhog prasad to deities before starting the ceremony.

Raksha Bandhan Mantra to Chant While Tying Rakhi

To strengthen the protective and spiritual essence of the ritual, Gurudev Shrie Kashyap Ji recommends chanting this mantra while tying the Rakhi:

“ॐ येन बद्धो बली राजा दानवेन्द्रो महाबलः।
तेन त्वामपि बध्नामि रक्षे मा चल मा चल॥”

Meaning: “Just like the mighty King Bali was tied with this thread, I tie you with the same for protection and well-being. May this bond always stay strong.”
