Tampa Bay holds a spot amongst the league elite
As we finish up our rankings of the NFC South offensive skill groups, we now take ourselves into the trenches–diving into every offensive line group in the division. While some teams have been on a path to revamp their units the last couple of years now, others have been looking to sustain their top ranked units.
From seasoned veterans holding firm as anchors to rising young talents finding their footing, the South presents its own diverse mix of players. Whether keeping the quarterback protected or creating clear passage in the run game, each group will play a pivotal role in their team’s success in 2025.
Here’s how the division’s offensive line groups stack up against one another:
The Buccaneers return one of the league’s premier offensive lines, headlined by All-Pro left tackle Tristan Wirfs. With a strong mix of youth and experience, this group helped pave the way for a top-five finish in both passing and rushing offense last season–proof of its dominance in both protection and run blocking.
Atlanta’s offensive line has quietly become one of the more consistent groups in the NFC. Led by right guard Chris Lindstrom and a physical interior, the Falcons have built a foundation around a power-run identity with Bijan Robinson heading the backfield.
The Saints have all the pieces in place to develop into one of the league’s most formidable offensive lines. With recent high-end investments at both tackle spots and a steady interior anchored by Pro Bowl center Erik McCoy, the foundation is there. Now, the unit must take the next step collectively and turn potential into production.
Despite making notable free-agent additions in recent offseasons, Carolina’s offensive line has struggled to find consistent rhythm. The group hovered around the middle to bottom of the league in most major metrics and failed to spark meaningful production from the offense as a whole. The talent is there–but execution remain question marks.
