Fauja Singh, the world’s oldest marathon runner and a symbol of resilience, died in a road accident near his native village in Punjab. The 114-year-old, known as the “Turbaned Tornado,” was hit by an SUV while on his afternoon walk and later succumbed to injuries. Police arrested the 26-year-old driver and seized the vehicle. Fauja Singh inspired many with his late-blooming career, becoming the first centenarian to complete a marathon.
