The preliminary exam is the first stage of the UPSC Civil Services Examination, which is widely regarded as one of the toughest competitive exams in India. It serves as a screening test for the Main Examination and includes two objective-type papers — General Studies Paper I and CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test).

The result is expected to be published in PDF format, listing the roll numbers of candidates who have successfully qualified for the next round — the UPSC Mains Examination 2025.
