As spring sports continue at Kentucky high schools, voting is underway for The Courier Journal’s boys spring athlete of the year. The poll closes at 6 p.m. Thursday, and the winner will be announced Friday morning.

Here are the nominees:
Senior Logan Bryant is averaging 4.1 goals per game, leading the state with 61 goals and accumulating 78 points.
Brodie Benefield has been efficient on the mound and key at bringing runs home at bat. The junior is 4-1 in six games with 27 innings pitched and has a .26 ERA. On offense, he has a team-high 22 RBIs and is batting .307 with three home runs.
Senior Kevin Moore has five wins in eight games. He has pitched 39 ⅓ innings this season with a 0.71 ERA and 47 strikeouts. Moore is tied for third in the state for doubles (13) and is batting .409.
Senior Taevion Sweeney is No. 1 in the state in the 110- and 300-meter hurdles. Sweeney hasn’t lost a race during the outdoor season.
Senior Jarrett County has pitched in 37 innings and is 6-0 in six starts with 62 strikeouts and an ERA of .76.
