Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Wednesday said the Telangana government will provide a supportive policy environment, incubation support and world-class infrastructure for deep-tech ventures.

Inviting global research institutions, investors and innovators to Hyderabad, the Deputy CM who was addressing the two-day Bioinspired Frontiers 2025 conference that got under way here, said the State has emerged as a model of innovation. Startups are thriving on the foundation laid by public research and scientific institutions even as institutions of higher education nurture the talent pipeline needed to sustain the momentum.

“Hyderabad today is not just a destination. It is a mindset — inquisitive, confident and collaborative,” he said, describing the city as one where the precision of science meets the poetry of imagination. “It has silently shaped India’s scientific journey for more than half a century. Many of the country’s premier scientific institutions took root in the city during the tenure of India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru,” he added.

Stating that the ecosystem, built through decades of public investment and scientific spirit, was bolstered by a new generation of young innovators, Mr. Bhatti Vikramarka said robotics, materials science and 3D printing startups connected with premier institutions such as IIT Hyderabad, IIIT Hyderabad, BITS Pilani, University of Hyderabad and T-Works were redefining the contours of India’s space economy.

Telangana has emerged as a centre for world-class system design, Mr. Bhatti Vikramarka said, reiterating that the State government under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is committed to providing world-class infrastructure for science and technology. The State aspires to be a launchpad for India’s space economy, which is poised for exponential growth in the coming decade, he said.

A number of industrial clusters are being developed in and around Hyderabad with innovation, manufacturing and sustainability at their core. The list includes aerospace manufacturing at Adibatla, E-City focused on electronics, pharmaceuticals and Life Sciences at Genome Valley, and mobility technologies at the upcoming Mobility Valley near Shamshabad, the Deputy CM’s office said in a release on his speech.

Bioinspired Frontiers 2025 conference is being organised by Global Events of Pioneering and Advancing Quests (GEOPAQ) in collaboration with Czech Aerospace Cluster. It seeks to explore the intersections of biomimicry, space exploration and sustainable economic development, the organisers said.
