According to the police, five persons barged into the house of the woman, threatened her with dire consequences, and demanded money and valuables. While three of the accused allegedly raped her, the other two stood guard.

The police arrested three persons for allegedly raping a 30-year-old woman from West Bengal, along with their associates, before stealing her valuables at Gangondanahalli in Bengaluru on October 21.
According to the police, the accused, along with three others, barged into the house of the woman, threatened her with dire consequences, and demanded money and valuables including two mobile phones and cash ₹ 25,000. While three of the accused allegedly raped her, the others stood guard.
The woman raised a complaint following which a police team led by Superintendent of Police C.K. Baba rushed to the spot, took stock of the situation, and tracked down two of the accused within hours in a night-long operation. Efforts are on to trace the other accused, who are on the run.
The victim was later taken to a hospital for medical treatment and said to be recovering.
The accused have been identified as Karthik, Glen Verghese and Suyoga aged between 22 to 25 hours.
The probe revealed that the victim was working in a salon and stayed in a rented accommodation. She used to get a lot of customers, which irked the other tenants.
One of the tenants, a teacher, sought the help of her student after repeated complaints to the land-owner did not help.
The police said that the student sought the help of his friends, who are local goons, to scare away the woman and impress his teacher.
The accused barged into the house, threatened the woman, raped her before taking her valuables, including cash and mobile phones, according to the police. There were two women and two men in the house and the accused allegedly assaulted the other women who tried to resist and locked the men in the bathroom before dragging the victim to a room and raped her one by one.
The police based on the complaint rushed to the spot and considering the gravity of the situation , formed three special teams and dispatched them in different directions based on technical details . The police team in a night long operation tracked down the accused one by one.
The police have charged the accused under section 70 (gang rape), 127 (wrongful confinement), 118 (deals with voluntarily causing hurt or grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 311 (robbery or dacoity committed with an attempt to cause death or grievous hurt), 190 (an unlawful assembly) and 324 (mischief) of BNS for further investigation.
“The police have now taken the accused into custody to ascertain their criminal background while efforts are on to track down the remaining accused,” Mr. Baba, said.
