Ward-level special meetings will be held in all five municipalities in the district from October 27 to 29.
A release from Collector S. Kandasamy said the Municipal Administration and Water Supply (Elections) Department, through G.O. (Ordinary) No. 324, dated October 17, 2025, directed that ward-level meetings with public participation be conducted across all municipal areas during the three days.
In Bhavani, meetings will be held on October 27 for 15 wards and on October 29 for the remaining 12. Gobichettipalayam will conduct meetings on October 28 and 29, and Sathyamangalam on October 27 and 28. In Punjai Puliyampatti and Perundurai, meetings will be held on all three days to cover every ward.
Discussions will focus on improving basic civic services, including drinking water supply, waste management, street lights, roads, parks, and stormwater drains, along with urban greening, park maintenance, and drain cleaning ahead of the northeast monsoon. Other topics include school infrastructure, the Chief Minister’s Breakfast Scheme, rainwater harvesting, and protection of local water bodies. The Collector urged residents to take part in their ward meetings, discuss civic priorities, and submit three key requests for implementation.
