Special train services between Bengaluru and Kalaburagi to continue till Oct. 29


The Solapur Division of Central Railway has decided to continue operating special train services between Bengaluru Cantonment and Kalaburagi, with some extending to Yeswanthpur, in view of the continued passenger rush following the Deepavali festival.

According to a release issued on Thursday, the Railways will operate additional and extended services between October 23 and 29, to manage post-festival travel demand.

Train No. 06557 Bengaluru Cantonment–Kalaburagi Special will depart from Bengaluru Cantonment at 7.40 p.m. on October 23 and reach Kalaburagi at 7.30 a.m. the next day, while Train No. 06558 Kalaburagi–Bengaluru Cantonment Special will leave Kalaburagi at 9.35 a.m. on October 24 and arrive at Bengaluru Cantonment at 8.30 p.m. the same day.

The train will halt at Yelahanka, Hindupur, Dharmavaram, Anantapur, Guntakal, Adoni, Manthralayam Road, Raichur, Krishna, Yadgir, and Shahabad stations. Its composition includes two AC-II Tier, three AC-III Tier, ten Sleeper Class, three General Second Class, and two Luggage-cum-Divyangjan coaches, making up 20 coaches in total.

In addition, the Railways will continue to run other special trains on this route. Train No. 06203 Bengaluru Cantonment–Kalaburagi Special will run on October 25, followed by Train No. 06204 Kalaburagi–Yesvantpur Special on October 26. Similarly, Train Nos. 06207/06208 will operate between Bengaluru Cantonment and Kalaburagi on October 27 and 28, while Train Nos. 06209/06210 will run on October 28 and 29, respectively.

There will be no change in the stoppages or coach composition of these trains, the release said.

Reservations for these services, which will run on special charges, are open at all computerised reservation centres and on the IRCTC website (www.irctc.co.in). Tickets for unreserved coaches can be booked at station counters or through the UTS mobile app.

Passengers have been advised to travel with valid tickets to avoid inconvenience. Detailed timings can be checked on www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in  or via the NTES app, the release added.
