BJP Tamil Nadu president Nainar Nagenthran, on Sunday (October 26, 2025), urged his party workers to stay vigilant during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls, which is likely to begin across Tamil Nadu next week.

In a statement, Mr. Nagenthran said party workers should pay close attention to the SIR of the electoral rolls. “It is our duty to ensure that no voter from any polling booth is left out, and the names of voters already included in the rolls are not deleted. “Some may conspire to use this SIR to remove the names of our supporters from the rolls. Therefore, booth committee members of the BJP should remain vigilant during the exercise,” he said.

He also urged party workers to seek clear reasons for any names removed from the rolls. The SIR of the electoral roll will take place in Tamil Nadu for nearly ten days. When government officials go door-to-door to verify the electoral rolls, the BJP workers should act vigilantly, setting aside other tasks, he said.
