Bangladesh coast guard intercepts Vizag fishermen, handed over to police


The Bangladesh Coast Guard intercepted eight fishermen from Visakhapatnam district for entering into their country’s border and handed them over to the local police in Bangladesh. They have been identified as Marupilli Chinna Appanna, M. Ramesh, S. Appalakonda, M. Praveen, S. Ramu, M. Chinna, N. Ramana and V. Seethaiah. All of them are residents of Kondrajupalem and Tippalavalasa.

They left Visakhapatnam fishing harbour on October 13 and allegedly crossed the Indian border into Bangladesh waters in the deep sea.
