The HCG Cancer Centre, Visakhapatnam, hosted “The Pink Spirit – Resilience in Every Move, Hope in Every Breath,” a campaign in observance of World Breast Cancer awareness month, at the VMRDA Children’s Arena here on Saturday (October 25, 2025).
Visakhapatnam police commissioner Shankabrata Bagchi was the chief guest at the event. He said “Breast cancer awareness is not just a medical cause; it is a social movement that calls for compassion, unity, and action. Every woman deserves the chance to detect cancer early and fight it with dignity and strength. Initiatives like “The Pink Spirit” remind us that together, we can create a more informed and caring society.”
Dr. Aditya Kaura, Cluster COO -HCG Cancer Centre, Visakhapatnam, said, “Every cancer survivor’s journey is a story of courage and inspiration. People need not panic about it. We announced a special cancer screening package for women, providing women across Visakhapatnam an opportunity to undergo vital screening tests at an accessible cost.”
The gathering brought together oncologists, cancer survivors, healthcare professionals, and members of the community. They emphasised on the importance of early detection, timely treatment, and emotional support in the journey against breast cancer.
