The ‘Kanda Sashti’ festival began at Sri Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple in Palani in Dindigul district on Wednesday with the tying of ‘Kaapu’.
The HR and CE Joint Commissioner Marimuthu, Assistant Commissioner Lakshmi and others were present. The ‘Soorasamharam’ will take place on October 27 and ‘Tirukalyanam’, the celestial wedding, will take place on October 28, according to the officials.
