Minister Laxman Kumar renews challenge to Harish Rao

Minister for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Adluri Laxman Kumar has once again stated that he is ready for a debate with BRS Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao, challenging him to appear at the 123-foot-tall Ambedkar statue in Hyderabad.

Mr. Laxman Kumar, who had dared former Minister Harish Rao to take an oath at the Venkateswara Swamy temple over his allegations about discussions during the recent Cabinet meeting waited for Mr. Harish Rao at the temple in Siddipet on Saturday.

Speaking to the media, Mr. Laxman Kumar took strong exception to Mr. Harish Rao’s remarks, including terming the Cabinet a ‘Dandupalyam batch‘. “As per my challenge, I arrived at the temple and waited for Harish Rao for two hours, but he didn’t turn up,” he said, suggesting Mr. Rao desist from making false claims. “Being a senior politician, Harish Rao should maintain political decorum while making allegations,” he said, adding that the Congress is capable of resolving its internal matters in the presence of party elders.
