Sales executive files cheating complaint against male friend


The Amruthahalli police on Thursday arrested a 26-year-old private firm employee for allegedly cheating his female friend on the pretext of marriage.

Based on the complaint filed by the victim, working as a sales executive, the HSR layout police have registered an FIR against Mohammed Isaq charging him under criminal intimidation, intentional insult to provoke breach of peace, and sexual intercourse not amounting to rape for further investigations .

The victim, according to the complaint, met the accused on social media in October last year, exchanged phone numbers and started chatting before met. On October 30, they met near a mall in Thanisandra and the accused took her to a hotel to discuss about the marriage and had a physical relationship by promising to marry her, she alleged.

The accused allegedly sought time to convince his family for the marriage, but later started avoiding the victim whenever she asked him about it. The victim realised that the accused was cheating and noticed he was chatting with many other girls. On October 19, the victim came to know that Isaq was engaged to another girl formally.

When the victim confronted him, he allegedly abused her verbally threatening her with dire consequences asking her to leave him alone.

The HSR layout police said that based on the complaint, they have filed an FIR and transferred the case to Amruthahalli police based on the jurisdiction of the crime committed.
