The two-day technical extravaganza, Technozion 2025, kicked off at NIT Warangal on Friday.

Prof. G. Madhavi Latha, a distinguished alumna and Professor at IISc Bangalore, who played a crucial role in designing the world’s highest railway bridge over the Chenab, shared her expertise and experiences with the students.

She said that the bridge design evolved continuously during construction, adapting dynamically to the geological and geotechnical realities revealed through excavation. While the overall bridge type and location remained fixed, all other parameters — including pier dimensions, foundation types, and structural details — were kept flexible to respond effectively to site conditions.

The event has drawn an estimated 7,000 students, with 1,614 registrations across various competitions. The fest features 23 events hosted by major student clubs and 31 events organised by departmental societies, with a total prize pool of ₹2 lakh.

The first day saw intense competitions, workshops, and expert talks that showcased a blend of hands-on engineering and analytical problem-solving skills. While 23 events were hosted by major student clubs, 31 events were organised by departmental societies.
