Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, and Rural Development, Shivraj Singh Chouhan will visit the ICAR–Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Vellore, on Saturday as part of the ongoing Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (VKSA) – a nationwide campaign that celebrates India’s progress in agriculture and reaffirms the collective resolve of “One Agriculture – One Country – One Team.”

This event underscores the Government of India’s commitment to uniting national and state-level efforts to make agriculture more productive, resilient, and farmer-centric. Mr. Chouhan will interact with progressive farmers, women self-help groups, rural youth, and agri-entrepreneurs, review success stories from the region, and launch initiatives aimed at promoting natural farming, pulses and oilseeds promotion, livestock integration, and digital agriculture.

The programme at KVK Vellore will also include an exhibition of innovative technologies and value-added products, interaction on PM Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana, pulses and natural farming initiatives, and dialogue on climate resilience, skilling, and integrated farming systems.
