To meet the rush of passengers during Deepavali, South Western Railway (SWR) has announced the operation of a one-trip express special train between SMVT Bengaluru and Darbhanga in Bihar.
According to a release issued by SWR, Train No. 06551 SMVT Bengaluru – Darbhanga Express Special will depart from Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) Bengaluru at 7 a.m. on October 24, 2025, and reach Darbhanga at 3 p.m. on October 26, 2025.
In the return direction, Train No. 06552 Darbhanga – Bengaluru Cantonment Express Special will leave Darbhanga at 12.15 p.m. on October 27 and reach Bengaluru Cantonment at 6 p.m. on October 29, 2025.
Railway officials stated that the special service aims to accommodate the surge in passenger demand during the festive season, providing additional travel options for those heading home to celebrate Deepavali.
