Case competition to address malnutrition
Ummeed, IIM Nagpur’s Community Outreach Club, in collaboration with UNICEF, the Public Health Department of Maharashtra, the National Health Mission, Maharashtra, and the Nutrition Bureau, Nagpur, launched Yukti – Nutrition Nirmaan: Building a Healthier India, a national-level case competition aimed at addressing India’s malnutrition.
Eligibility: UG and PG students across Engineering, Management, Arts, Commerce, Sciences, Law, Medical, and others.

The University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, has launched the MSc in Political Communication and Media course, beginning in January 2026.
Eligibility: First or second-class Honours degree, or equivalent, in Social Science; IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall (no individual band less than 5.5)

Nagaland University researchers have identified Sinapic acid, a naturally-occurring plant compound, as a powerful therapeutic agent that can accelerate wound healing in diabetic conditions. The research, led by Prof. Pranav Kumar Prabhakar, Department of Biotechnology, School of Engineering and Technology, Nagaland University, and Rupal Dubey, Sourbh Suren Garg, Navneet Khurana and Jeena Gupta from Lovely Professional University, was published in Nature Scientific Reports.
A 34 student-team guided by K. Sri Kavya, Mission Director KLSAT, and K. Sarat Kumar, Member Secretary, APCOST, from KL Deemed to be University launched three student-built satellites — KLSAT-2 (2U CubeSat), KLJAC (Lightweight Pico Balloon Satellite), and CanSat (4U Module).

Scientists at the Research Institute for Sustainable Energy (RISE), under TCG-CREST (Deemed-to-be-University) including Abhik Banerjee, team leader, RISE, and teammates Sreeroop Ghosh, Sayan Chatterjee, and Abhijit Garai, have developed an indigenous sodium-ion battery that can charge up to 94% in five minutes. In some parameters, it has not only matched lithium-ion batteries but also surpassed them.
