A group of men from Pittalabasti allegedly entered a restaurant in Sitaphalmandi on Friday evening and threatened its manager, accusing the establishment of selling beef and influencing youngsters in their area to consume it.
According to police, the men confronted the manager and demanded that the restaurant be closed until they could speak to the owner, who was reportedly in Kerala at the time. The gang also warned the staff against continuing business operations in the meantime.
The Osmania University police have registered a case and launched an investigation. The suspects are yet to be identified.
