Kazimar Street residents oppose construction of corporation building on vacant plot

 Residents of Kazimar street, opposing the construction of corporation building in their locality, staged a protest here on Friday.  

Thabrez, secretary of the Kazimar Street Grand Mosque, who led the protest, said as the place earmarked for the construction of ward 54 corporation building was being used by the women for prayers and by the local people for organising special Ramadan prayers, construction of building would be against the people’s will.  

As the vacant plot was adjacent to an ITI, an educational institution serving the poor and underprivileged, it would also be a disruption to its service.
