The Bajpe police have filed a case against a murder accused and another person for allegedly trying to extract crackers from a cracker shop owner.
In a video statement, Mangaluru Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy said on Friday that Prashanth alias Pachhu, an accused in a murder and six attempt to murder cases, and one Ashwith, on October 22, went to Damodar, the owner of a cracker shop in Bajpe. The two demanded crackers at free of cost.
On a complaint by Damodar on Thursday, October 23, the Bajpe police registered case against Prashanth and Ashwith. Mr. Reddy said Ashwith has been named as accused for his alleged association with Prashanth
Mr. Reddy said those moving with and those associated with persons involved in criminal cases will be named as accused in criminal cases.
Search is on to trace Prashanth and Ashwith, Mr. Reddy said.
