Dhanvantari Jayanthi and National Ayurveda Day celebrations were organised by Sri Prakash AYUSH Charitable & Research Trust at Sri Prakash Ayurvedic Hospital at Payakaraopeta in Anakapalli district, on Sunday.
Founders of Sri Prakash Group Ch. V. K. Narasimharao, and his wife, performed the sacred Dhanvantari Homam accompanied by the chanting of mantras by Vedic scholars. Dr. Kannalayam Gopalan Ravindran, eminent ayurvedic physician, and Chaganti Koteswara Rao, spiritual orator, participated as guests, were warmly received with the traditional Kolatam dance by students. A Poornahuti ritual was performed by the Vedic pandits.
Dr. Ravindran was felicitated by Mr. Chaganti Koteswara Rao for his distinguished contributions to Ayurveda.
Dr. Ravindran emphasised that Ayurveda was an invaluable heritage passed down by our ancestors and serves as a guiding light for healthy living. He added that Ayurveda was gaining global recognition and importance in contemporary healthcare.
Mr. Koteswara Rao captivated the audience with his discourse on the importance of reading and learning from the biographies of great personalities. He highlighted the marvel of the human body and the power of a disciplined mind, underscoring the invaluable role of a selfless guru as a guide to higher achievements in life.
Mr. Narasimharao highlighted the Trust’s mission to bring authentic Ayurvedic treatments to the local community, inspired by the renowned practices of Kerala.
Dr. U. Indulal, trustee of Akami Ayurvedic Hospital, Aparna Sharma, psychological counsellor, Ch. Vijay Prakash, joint secretary, Sri Prakash Educational Institutions, Ayurvedic advisors Alapati Rajendra Prasad, Ayurvedic Advisor, Dr. T. Ramesh Babu and Dr. M.A. Sumayya, chief physicians, hospital staff, faculty members, students, and people from Tuni and Payakaraopeta attended the event.
